I Miss
I miss acting cute when I made a mess and getting away with it
I miss watching hours of TV like there was no Tomorrow.
I miss the time I Had.
I could have builded an entire Lego fort, but now time is slipping through my hands like sand in a clenched fist.
I miss the joys of life. I miss just watching simple things and questioning life and being told.
“When you’re older”
Now I wish I never over thought life
I miss the soft hands tuck me in to a hobbit hole; being protected by the evil witches.
I miss the digging in dirt and not worrying about my nails.
I miss catching frog after frog in the pond.
Then getting sunburn with no lecture attached to it.
I miss just snapping away with the old camera.
I miss being the innocent one
I miss having a crush and having no big deal about it.
I miss getting 8 hours of sleep.
I miss not having the world’s troubles in my hands.
I miss crying and not be told I was a wimp.
I miss how the world would revolve around me.
I miss making a human PB and J sandwich.
One would be the bread, the other would the jelly, and the other would be peanut butter and bread.
I like the new freedom
But I would trade that in
For all the things I Miss.
