Confined to a Broken Walk
A crippled lady
Leaning on her cane
Walks to the rocker out on the deck
And she moves slowly
Making her way to the chair
Bent legs and wrinkled fingers
Heading to the chair
Hobbling sweetly
Meek and gentle
To the rocking chair
To rest her feet
To give her mind a chance to run wild
No longer confined to A cane, bent legs, and wrinkled fingers
