Blue Window
Hid myself.
I boxed myself in,
So I could keep my heart protected.
Shattered remnants of faults alike
Forced themselves together.
And in that room, that lonely room,
A window appeared of blue.
My curious eyes couldn’t help but see,
A beautiful woman to set me free.
She was cautious, she was friendly,
To knock-knock-knock, at my door.
But content she was, with a smile on her face.
As my mind almost left her, I swore.
Her voice was gentle, and quite weary.
Her journey has been all but light.
She stole me from beneath my tomb.
She showed me the truth away from night.
Things were good and better, they were even great.
But my heart was still in pieces.
And the fear for what might happen
Left me running back into my room.
With hurt, you walked away,
More confused than any other.
But in that room, that lonely room,
I gaze out my window of blue.
Mistakes were made,
My past was present.
I should have never strayed from you.
