I Love it When You Beat Me
Our eyes meet like fusion –
Liquid firestorm, like a second glance,
A double take:
I so wasn’t ready for this.
My lessons weren’t substantial,
my plans out-of-sync –
unaccustomed to fifth-dimensional
breathing.
Oiled hands and gravity, I’m now
destined to the bottom of your soul.
You are goddamned cruel;
stirring your hips like that,
twisting your lips at me through the
graveyard shadows,
dancing at the gate while I
mourn my desensitized time loss.
Mock me,
burn my cheeks with your brandy,
candy touching my eager
volcano – I am two seconds from giving up
and one less from exporting our lives
because of some nebulous passion.
Please,
notice how your wings affect the racking
nerves beneath my skin as they are
screaming to be teased.
Take care of yourself and take no
exception for the truth –
honestly I need your brutal
honesty and
I’d rather be a mirror shattered to
infinite pieces
than a
broken puppet with
unbreakable strings all over again.
