The Jungle That Goes On Forever
Indigo and scarlet lights
A hidden jungle within itself
A zoo
Animals wearing masks and costumes
They smell blood, they gather
They know a sacrifice will begin
A sanctuary
A temple
A safe haven
Not quite.
Strength is power
Lust is power
Fear is power
Knowledge is forsaken
Children are vultures
Basking and glorifying
Ecstatic not to be chosen
Instincts are growing strong
I hear a growl
My heart runs far
But I know it is time
I can hear drums
A steady beat
Dum Bum Bum
Dum Bum Bum
Claws tear into my soft pink flesh
An ancient ritual that will never die
If I can only hold a little longer
The monsters watch all thinking the same thoughts
I will not be the one.
No.
I will not be the one.
