Uncried Tears
I would cry but I don’t have any tears left.
There is nothing to feel but anger and helplessness.
There’s so much sadness you can’t show it, tears just don’t cut it.
Once your eyes grow dry you can feel your heart weeping quietly.
It’s a sensation that grips you and shakes you down.
You suddenly feel cold and alone.
You’ve been pushed to your knees and can’t stand back up.
Sleepless nights and cloudy days are all you can see when your soul is broken.
I have only seen my heart’s tears once and it’s the ink I used to write this.
