Wrinkled words
Grandmas face
Is a delicate feather
Crinkled
Like a note
A Secret message
Each word
Crumpled in the creases
Folds were dimples
Used to be
And soft edges
On the side of each eye
When she smiles
As I age
I pray for a face
Like hers
I want the laugh lines
And smile crinkles
So when people look
Into my face
They see the years
And the years
Of my happiness
And they will read the words
Of my past
Like a note
Written across my face
