Black and White
Black and white
What’s the difference?
I never saw one
But, others did
They would stare at me
Their harsh glances
But, they were not looking at me
They were looking at the black woman
Holding my hand
Escorting me out of the playground
They judged me
Judged me on my nanny
The woman who stood by me
Supported me
And cared for me like her own
Their ideas did not get to me
Not then
Not now
