How different
The people that sit beside me each and every day
I wonder what wonders through their heads
Maybe it’s that practice they have tonight
Maybe it’s what they are having for dinner
Maybe it’s what they got on that paper
Maybe it’s what is on T.V tonight
But then again not everyone’s life is that simple,
Maybe it’s their sister who might be cutting class again to smoke with her friends
Or their brother who comes home from school each day with a new bruise
Possibly it is their mother who always seems to want to drink the alcohol
Could it be that loved one they lost the other day
Could it be the frustration they have when all they can depend on is the numb feeling they get from drugs
The people that sit beside me each day
I wonder how different their lives are from mine.
