Earth Hour
The hands of the clock showed that
the time was already 8.30 pm
the father closed all the lights
and
turned off their electrical appliances,
he sat with his child,
their faces lit by the candlelight,
and played games,
laughing with each other.
"Father,why is the world dark?
Is there no light,
no electricity,
none at all?"asked the child.
"No,"the father said
"Everyone is trying to save our world."
They sat there together
till an hour passed.
The father got up
turned everything back on
and left to finish his never-ending work.
The child sat there wondering
'Is an hour really enough?'
