Jumping In Head First
I gave it all to him
Him.
The guy who knew every detail about me
He who knew all my secrets
Love ran through our veins and connected us together
He who made me feel like I was flying
Then one day he left me,
There in the dust
Wondering,
Waiting for him to come back
He chose her because of her trashy clothes
Her snotty attitude of the-world-revolves-around-me
Her caked on make up
And her past reputation…
He came back to me thinking he still had a chance
He got down on both knees and begged me
Love, care, fake ran through his eyes
I only knew one possible answer
“You’re two years too late!”
Then I turned the keys to the car,
with my new Everything in the driver’s seat
We roared down the street
Leaving him in the dust
Wondering,
Waiting for me to come back
