Photosynthesize
Like a pillar she stands resolute, facing towards the sun.
Like a plant, she turns herself towards its nourishing light, a delicate bud.
The night has wearied her, left her skin pale, but as the sun rises, she glows once more.
O, what radiance the sun provides, washing away all sins and sadness like a warm tide.
Many have ventured to this hotspring of light, but only she, the green leaf, may float in its rays.
As a model for others, she leads them to the well.
They too turn to the sun, dewdrops and eyeballs glistening, faced towards the warm morning sky.
