Never to Late
The breaking of your soul
So shocking to most
Not expected, except to me
I saw what you where hiding
Pain, sorrow, grief
I desperately tried to reach you
But I was to late
You’d already reached the end
So ready for it all to be over
Standing here now trying to talk
You out of this choice
You have so much to live for
“What about your friends?”
You reply with:
‘They’re not real friends.”
Knowing there’s only one
Question left to ask
Looking deep into your eyes
I ask the last
“What about me?”
Then with relief I see all the
Anger and fear fade
And we are left standing there
Crying, tears of joy
Glad of the other presence
