What's been hiding behind a Smile

Look at me,
what do you see?
a girl whose flawless,
as some came to believe,
pretty as can be,
so bright and just so free
it's more than you know
and there's a story behind every eye
and a tear behind every lie
she's not what she seems
then her life would only be a dream
but then the harsh realization of life hits
and then you'll be ready to know
whats been hiding behind a smile
