To Capture a Moment
Touching the sky we laugh,
falling we laugh harder.
The rain doesn't stop
and neither does our hysterics.
Her trampoline sags with our weight
our mouths curl up with smiles
and our teeth shine brightly
even though our feet
are numb with pain,
our hands purple with cold.
Luckily this good feeling doesn't leave.
I don't want to let it go
and I pray
that this moment won't end,
that I'll never lose my best friend.
Touching the sky we laughed,
but now I wish
she would come back down
with me.
