I wish I could wake up from this dark and frightening nightmare
Where criticism is all that words are
and diseases cause the death of so many every day
Where addiction can strike a heart, knock you out
and you can never awaken the same as you we before
Where the pressure of life overpowers everything else
and starvation takes over a body
Where life can end in and instant with no warning
and happiness is a treasure rarely found
Where drinking and drugs
are the so called solution to very problem
I wish I could wake up from this dark an frightening nightmare
But unfortunately this is life
and this is what we must go through each and every day
