and I think of who you might be if you were still here
Would you have broken the chain of addiction
that was keeping you one step behind the truth?
Or would have you continued to hide yourself
in the shadows of death disappearing slowly
only holding on by the thinnest of all strings?
Would you have lost all consciousness that you still had
and become so blind you could not see the people and love around you?
Would you have become deaf unable to hear
the worried tones of our voices?
Would have you finally come into the light
and been the young woman you should have been all along?
But now you are gone so i will never know
who you would have become
