They tell you it’s your life
your choice
your decisions
and yet they keep on telling us
what to do
who to like
what to say
who to be
and we sit back
and let that happen
they pull the steering wheel out of your hands
and turn it in different directions that you can’t amount to
assuming you will to live up to their expectations
and we sit back and let that happen
The truth is, it's your life
it’s your responsibility
to take control of your steering wheel
and put it back into the right direction
your own direction.
