A Foolish Imagination
The earth is warming.
Friendships are,
relationships are.
It feels as though the cold winter,
and the devouring of my brain is over.
A glimmer of hope only for a moment,
As I laugh, genuinely,
Something I rarely catch myself do,
I almost allow myself to believe I belong right there.
But I find myself back in reality,
the burning hell I call my life.
