Ode to Algebra II

add and subtract
I understand-
multiply and divide
but I really can’t…

of 37 plus 90 to the seventh power
divided by x equals f(x).

A foreign language
made up of numbers and variables,
graphs and functions
I don’t understand.

he helps me comprehend… sorta…
but he might as well be speaking ancient Greek.
OH WAIT-
? is Greek!
Adding and subtracting
I can do that in my head.
Multiplying and dividing
I have trouble, but I can do it… sorta…
It’s ancient Greek; I can barely pass
But I will try…
and my teacher makes is as easy as ?.
