I Dare You
Maybe it’s because every time I’m on a bridge
I wonder what it would feel like to jump
Or could be the way my dreams are disturbed
By the nightmares I fear when I’m awake
I close my eyes to shield my soul from the world
But my thoughts are on the contrary
What goes on inside me in misunderstood
I’m assumed to be more than I can possibly be
And you act like you’ve got my story all figured out
When you don’t even know the first thing about me
So now I dare you to look past everything you’ve been told
I dare you to look beyond what you were taught to believe
I dare you to open your eyes and see
And now, I dare you to look at me
