That little candy store
At the mall
I turn and abruptly
The world is frozen
In crystal time
Laced together
so delicately
Like a seamless snowflake
It lasts a whole hour
Or a second
I can’t tell
Yet all I see
Are bluish green eyes
Shaggy sandy-brown hair
Skinny jeans
Like the skater boys wear
I can’t see anymore
My blindness is perpetual
If love at first sight exists,
Then
this
is
surely
it.
