you took my heart
You made me smile, laugh, and cry. I stayed up every night on the phone and fell asleep to your voice. It had become my peace, my happiness, my heaven. I still remember the day my heart ceased to beat, I remember as if it was yesterday. I remember the tears, the lies, the apologies that meant nothing, and the goodbye that turned my world upside down. I became like stone that day I acted as if nothing could hurt me especially you. I held it all in until it continuously began to pour out. Now my cracks are visible, my heart gone, and my tears a busy river. You started the flood then left the damage with no repair.
