maybe now, September 2009
Right here, there is life,
maybe there's always been,
but I've been listening to the ground
so long
I almost forgot, again,
to forget the end
to
listen in
to the wind that runs through my world
so on and off, again,
so unlike all that's been and gone
back through my mind again.
Forgotten, for a friend
The shivers make me smile,
a reminder of my condition,
I can only stand so long,
this time,
I lay as the world permits
and I dream as I mistake
this consciousness and sight,
shaken as the ground I walk,
as anything less than life
