My Boys
Never really been close to girls
And of all the places in the world
My absolute favorite place to be
Is anywhere just my boys and me
They make any place seem like home
Make me feel like I'm not alone
They pick me up when I hit the ground
The only people who stay around
And deep in my gut
I know that no matter what
They will always be there
Because I know they care
And when they act like jerks
I won't say it but it hurts
Because I love to be with my boys
They bring me countless joys
From the times we just watch TV
To the times we run around crazy
We always have fun together
My boys will be there forever
I treasure and love each single one
Being around them is always so much fun
Around them I never feel nervous or scared
I think about all the times we have shared
My brothers and I
I really do love you guys
And I trust them with things I'd never tell
They know how to keep my secrets well
And they're always looking out
Watching me without a doubt
They ask about the guys I see
Oh my gosh the stories they tell me
Some things that just take you by surprise
We even talk about the lies
All the girls they've played
The reasons they never stayed
I know them all down to the letter
I couldn't ask for something better
Because I know at the end of the day
My boys are there to stay
I often feel like one of the boys
They say I play with guys like toys
They say I act just like them
I agree with that some
I guess I'm just not normal
I don't like to be formal
I'd rather be in my jeans
And a plain rocker tee
Because that's just who I am
My boys understand
When I need them to make me smile
They can do it in a little while
When I need to talk
They're down to take a walk
They are always exactly what I need when I need it
They remind me never to quit
Or give up on me
They want me to be all I can be
So I wanted to say thank you
Without my boys I wouldn't know what to do
