I hope that I will be able to confide in you as I&#039;ve been unable to do with anyone<br /> -Anne Frank

You asked me once
What is love?
Love is
A crackling fire shared with a stranger
A home cooked meal to a child working nine hours a day
Hands pressed against impenetrable glass
Fingers splayed identical, mirroring each other
Love is
A mother’s voice carrying on the wind
Reaching her son’s ears
Telling him it is time to come in and take a bath
Love is
Your hair glinting in the sun
Your skin, warm and supple
The softness of your lips
Lightly pressed
Against mine

Okay, this was an assignment for my Creative Writing class. At first it was just this shallow "I want an 'A'!" but I like that she told me to redo it. This was the result. I hope you like it.
