Way Through Life
Childhoods are innocent,
Like a soft plush bear
With everlasting energy,
Playtime lasts all day
Taken around, experiencing new things
Life is an endless adventure
*
Soon pre-teen years come along,
Little girls and boys are blooming
Transitioning from a bud to a blossom,
Where has time escaped?
Still growing, they need nourishment
Portraying as water, knowledge seeps in
*
Now maturing teenagers,
Of course they know all
Easily passed over,
Our children feel misunderstood
They will soon learn that life moves on;
That childhood is only one step
