Before
My chest throbs
My eyes burn
The tears stream down
Over and around
The graves of my face,
I see there smiles,
I see there love
I see what they were
who they were
Before they changed
Before they left
I here there laughs
I hear there cries
I hear there voices
before they died
I feel there warmth
There gentle embrace
joy we had when together
I smell there scent
Before…
Before…
the clouds,
the sun,
the moon,
everything changed
Before
god said
SHE SHALL SUFFER
and before I lost the ability…
to love
to truly smile
to give warmth
Before…
I cried till I passed out
Before…
I screamed and begged so hard I stopped breathing
Before…
I spent all my nights
crying,
remembering,
Trying to bring them back
but that was before
This is now
the love in me withered
when I was 3
then gasped for breath like they did
Now…
The love
The joy
The happiness
is dead
Just like them
