Be Careful What You Wish For

I wish I had a little house
where I could watch the sea.
I’d catch some fish and eat them
because I’d have no money
in my empty bank or empty house
that stands so lonesomely
on the lifeless sand that covers up
a beach of misery.
I guess I do need people
just so I won’t go crazy.
Be careful what you wish for
or else fate just might agree.
