Fairy Tale
There must be a reason
Why we all love fairy tales
All those happy endings
That we can’t stop reading
All of a girl’s life
She dreams herself as a princess
Waiting for her true love
That charming prince to come
As that little girl gets older
She sees life isn’t perfect
There is no point trapping yourself in a tower
Waiting for something that isn’t there
There is no magic in our world
Just people rushing by
No one stopping to take your hand
And open your eyes to a brighter day
So what is true love anyway
Does it even exist
People throw around the concept
Like it has no meaning at all
Well I have read the stories
Seen every one of the movies
The ordinary girl so boring
The extraordinary boy so charming
Destined to find one another some day
The ordinary girl turns beautiful
The extraordinary boy falls in love with her
They live happily forever after
That’s how every single one ends
True love becomes happily ever after
So why can’t we find that love
Where we live in our own fairy tale
