We're Not Perfect
The word perfect makes me cringe
When someone says “we’re perfect”
I want to slap them
They say “we are meant to be”
Oh how cliché it is
It isn’t true, and you know it
Saying it to every girl you meet
So stop, you know I hate it
I talked to her, and the one before
They said the same thing
You say we are perfect
We are meant to be
I think you went too far
When you went and fell for me
I don’t believe in those happy endings
Where the princess and prince
Live happily ever after
Those are just fairy tales
Maybe everyone has their perfect match
Just don’t say it to me
Because I’ll stab your back
We talk to one another
Those things you said to her
We all know about
You said it to everyone
Did all the same things
If you are so desperate
To find that perfect match
Then treat them all different
Like the special people they are
Try not to fall so hard on your face
Because she’s not going through
What she doesn’t want to
