Anne Boleyn
A love everlasting I thought I had.
a daughter I bore, but I couldn't bear a son.
My husband became abusive and tyrannical.
I am locked up in a tower.
Freedom I shall not acquire.
Long ago things seemed so bright.
I was raised in the courts of France.
I was married young,
to the "wonderful" King Henry.
Eighth was he to bear the name.
His second wife I was to be.
I am Anne Boleyn, mother of Elizabeth I.
Finally the king, my dear Henry.
He became dissatisfied with me.
To death he sentenced me.
Hence my adjourn in London's Bloody Tower.
I await my beheading.
I'll be lead down to the beheading stone.
Where I'll be decapitated by axe, if I'm lucky a sharpened sword.
I know just what my final words will be.
"Henry I love you, even if you don't love me."
Then I'll have to bend down, and my fate I will attend. Tears flowing in my eyes before the axe comes down.
Then I will die.
