the rain began to fall
and for a moment
his thoughts became still
in one hand,
he held the door to freedom
in the other, he held
the key
he was sure he wanted to open the door
but the uncertainty of who would greet him
knawed at the flesh of his mind
who would be there to tell him
what it means to be free
would it be life...
or would it be death..
