I Am Who I Am
I am the pale white sand scattered along the beach.
Raised in the town with one red light, a place where fierce battles were fought-Cowpens.
Bound hand and foot with tape to cover my thin lips,
Often scared to share my own ideas and thoughts like a turtle trapped inside its shell.
Rarely able to make that much needed move.
A closed bottle floating across the ocean,
Hard to find, hard to open, hard to break.
5'5" of heart, hurt, and humanity.
A philanthropist.
I am Hannah Pettit.
