My heart is beating way too fast
I've got a feeling this might last
The others say it's in the past
Though I won't listen;
For I've found you at last

This was written about and inspired by my boyfriend. Our relationship is no more, for now at least. I still love him and hope for the best. I will always love him and would never do anything to hurt him. He broke up with me. It's a long story. I just wish things would go back to normal. Oh, and if you are in the same situation as me, don't give up. I know, it's really hard not to at times. We all have our weaknesses, our imperfections and faults, but we cannot give up. We cannot forfeit what we know to be true; what we hold near to our hearts, and within our hearts We must never give up; For this is defeat. We must not retreat; For we must ready out troops and prepare for the long journey ahead (Metaphorically speaking of course.)

You feel like you did something wrong because you probably hurt her when you said you didn't want to be her boyfriend. If you like her then go for it. Especially if you two have good chemistry; it's very hard to find. And as for being in limbo, you aren't in limbo silly; you sound just like my boyfriend. He was so afraid of getting close to me that he acted like he just wanted to be friends but he was really into me. He was just afraid. I think you're afraid. My boyfriend was scared too that he would lose me as a friend. But if you don't look into this you might really regret it. And this might just be me, but when she says a "special" way I think she means she's really, really into you. I don't think there is any turning back/walking away from that. So you might as well ask her out. If you don't then you're just gonna keep hurting her and that's going to hurt you because you care about her. And you should let her know that you care about her. The fact that you are hurting because she is hurting is really special; I think you just might be fallin for her. Don't let fear keep you from what you really want :)  I really hope this helps you !!!! ^-^

Okay, but what if you are in limbo of liking a person. I'm a guy and I think I may have made a mistake. I like one of my female friends; I've told her and I said to her "I don't want to be your boyfriend, I just want to be a very good friend to you." She's unmoved (nothing has happend). She's said to me that she likes me in a "special" way. But I feel like I did something wrong: it's hurting me. I really need advice.
