You once gave me a reason to live,
To love you so tenderly and learn to forgive,

I loved you with all care and compassion,
But you betrayed me with acts of passion.

She deceived me saying she loved no other man,
Saying she had given me her heart and under no demand.

And I being the fool believed her every word,
Even my friends said that it was absurd.

But I told my friends to get away,
That my lady and I were making sway.

Then a family member of hers came up to me one day,
And told me that I had been deceived and should leave her right away.

only then did I truly and fully understand,
That I had be betrayed by her with a man.

I tried to stay calm on that disheartening night,
And I simply left her without a fight.
