The Chair
Sitting alone in the corner
So cold, hard, and lonely
Just waiting for someone to come
To take its loneliness away
No cushions on its seat
Only just a wooden frame
Forgotten and unloved
For someone it waits
Sturdy but stiff from having no one
Drooping slightly but trying to stay strong
Cold and disappointed
Then finally it feels the warmth
