Running out the door
Walking alone down an old
road in the rain
Not knowing where you’re going
but not turning back
You jump at your own shadow
hating the silence
Walking on the cold, wet grass
trying to cut off all your feelings
You sit down on a fallen tree wondering
if anyone will wonder where you are
and try to find you
You hear footsteps behind you
and before you can think if they will help you
or not you are hiding
