Barbie Girl
When I met her I thought
Oh great another Barbie just what we need
She fit Barbie to a “T”,
Blonde hair
Pretty eyes
Incredibly peppy
But u can’t judge a girl by her mask
I befriended this Barbie girl
And slowly I began to see her as something more
Then a beautiful blonde doll
She wasn’t superficial
She wasn’t 100% happy
She was a girl just like me
Trying to fit in
My shoulders have been blessed with her tears
My arms happy to embrace
My heart speaks words to help her up when she falls
When I break she puts me back together
So next times you see a “Barbie doll” give her a chance to show you what she really is
You may just gain a best friend.
