I hold you in my mind/ because you are my private thought/ (though I may never tell you)/ and you are my sleepless nights/ because I don’t mind/ because I don’t want to stop thinking of you/ I think of you/ always/ (but most especially when I feel lachrymosal)/ you are the anesthetic that calms/ the one I want to follow even when I lose my path/ like when I follow the lines on my palms (going different ways/ but always connecting/ and always leading me back home).
