Forty-Nine Soldiers
Forty-nine soldiers
Were marching that day.
That day when the ground
Was watered with blood.
They were marching cross
A wasteland.
It was a land none had smiled on
Since the time before the war.
It was a roar of a cannon
That started the fight.
And neither side knew
They were fighting themselves.
