Fragments of pasts i don't remember
or just don't wish to recall
pieces of lives that i reached for
but failed and quickly abandoned
chips of my dreams thrown aside
left uncompleted on the ground
memories from shards of a reflection in the mirror
the face broken, and serrated
but not yet sharp enough to cut.
