Follow It
For so long I ran through darkness
Stumbling to find a way
Any way that would lead me out
Of the never ending tunnel of life
For so long I was lost
In a forest of black
A land of nothing
A world of blankness
And then for so long I stood still
Accepting there was no way out
Accepting that I would spend eternity
Floating though empty space
And then
A light
Shone on me
A light broke through the darkness
Through the forest
Through the empty space
And I followed it
Followed it
Followed it
With all the strength I didn't have
I pushed
Pulled
Clawed
Grabbed
Scratched
Dug
My way through
To follow the light
Must follow the light
Had to follow the light
Follow the light
Follow it
With the last bit of energy I had
I ripped down the last of the vines
Pushed aside the black emptiness
And there
At the end of the light
Was you.
