Scar Tissue
When a heart mends,
does scar tissue form?
Or does muscle grow back,
stronger than before?
I don’t think a heart
breaks right down the center,
but rather, in pieces,
small, yes, but tender.
When two hearts race,
one has to win.
And the one that doesn’t
breaks in the end.
So when a heart mends,
does scar tissue form?
Or does muscle grow back,
stronger than before?
