Thats How I Know I Truly Love You
I thought you loved me,
you held me in your arms
when I felt sad,
you told me everything would be ok
because we had each other
I though you loved me,
I remember those late night movies
sitting in my basement on the couch,
when I laughed your eyes twinkled
and you laughed along with me
I though you loved me,
when I came over to your house
on that rainy day
so we could go swimming in the lake,
but to my despair
I opened up the creaky old door
to find you with your hands all over her
Now my thoughts are fields of fog
nothing interesting,
nothing alive at all,
but you're happy
that's all that matters
because when you're happy
I'm happy,
and that's how I know I truly love you
