The Secret Wish
One fine day, I wish to go…
To a place where I could go alone.
Where the daisies shone in husks of gold,
Where every bud a rose infold.
Where the kingdom lore expands to seas,
Where the wind would always sing to me;
Where fleets of fluttering butterflies,
Would dance and waltz for my own eyes;
Where the squirrels play with hearty dote,
Where the stars would line up for my soul.
One fine day, I wish to see-
The sky in her silver sleep;
Where the rain patters in whitish glow,
And fireflies ignite their nightly show;
Where the rivers would bask in the silver streak,
With silver fish in hide and seek;
Where exists a magic spell-
Behind every corner and every tale.
One fine dawn, I wish to be,
In a place whence I could clearly see-
The Sun waking from behind the hills;
The mellow rays all mine to feel.
Golden flowers in ne’er-ending lines;
Golden dreams to fly and shine;
Where the clouds race in the fire’s dance:
The birth of rainbows at my glance;
Where the sun-kissed skies would sing to me,
That is where I wish to be…
