Anxious
Anxiety is standing on a mouse trap
fear and agitation, eyes darting, palms sweating
safety where you are, skin crawling nervously
you see what you need to do
but you can't
but you must
you vibrate with dread, burrows into your bones
you must move and you know it
air seems to choke you but no one can see
there is safety so close... but you know
there is danger out there, same as right here
you must keep moving, moving, moving
giving up is salvation but you know you can't
everything ahead of you is a maze
there's no time, there's never any time.
