there’s always laughter
and smiles that surround you
laughter is the best medicine
for anything, right?
what happens when it’s gone?
when all those people who
give you that laughter,
who share that laughter with you
are gone?
or maybe it’s not even everyone
maybe it’s just that one person
that always made you smile
what happens to you now
that he or she is gone?
what comes next?
you pick yourself up
you become stronger than before
replace that pain and
learn to laugh again,
smile again
you find people who can
give that to you again
that’s what comes next
