In the Mind of a Teenager (Waterfall of Words)
Numbers spin around me
In a whirlwind of words
In a life that makes no sense
There’s no reason to be concerned
Falling head over toes
Any ending is blurred
Take my hand to steady me
We’re both uneasy and unsure
Take my arm, come along with me
Down the crossed paths of words
A forest full of contradictions
Both meaningless and absurd
Lost in the ever growing questions
That remain seemingly unanswered
Where is the sun? Where is the sun?
The direction ‘wrong’ is where I am lured
Since no street signs point right
Oh, but I tried, and I left no page unturned
I dug for gold, diamond, oil
But at the core, I was burned
Left to fend for myself
And the roar it made, you should have heard!
About to knock me off my feet, I choose pride over will,
And throw myself off this waterfall off words
