Not Alone
Two sturdy feet sinking in the sand
Wary eyes watching the tide
The waves crash and speed
toward the waiting toes
Marked with scrapes and bruises
telling tales of a trek
that ended here
waiting for the waves to come
and wrap there claws around ankles
and pull the feet off the sand
Into the con-vetting ocean
Cant those wary eyes see
that those sturdy feet
can still walk
that their journey is far from done
That he will let you lean against him
That she will hold up your shoulders
that I will guide you safely
And together we will carry on
It’s never too late
and an adventure is never done
